Memoir written by Evansville, Wis. native Albert John Gibbs about his military service during World War II. The memoir begins with a recollection of college life in 1939 and follows with his joining the 61st Coast Artillery in 1940, Air Force training at Maxwell Field, Montgomery, Alabama and at Camp Davis, North Carolina, and flying the C-47 over the Amazon basin.
